The requirements for this project are colour studies, texturing, key art, breakdown of props and orthographic drawings. Firstly, I decided to add texture to parts of the vehicle to give it a more worn look. Texture such as the headlights were also retextured as the previous one didn't look too noticeable. At the part where the vehicle opens, I also decided to change the dark interior by adding lights inside the v...

Reflection Lectures can be found  here Instructions   Back to Top ↑ Project 2 : Production In project 2, we needed to continue developing our vehicle from project 1. We now needed to select 1 design and continue expanding it further. In this project we needed to do a breakdown of the vehicle as well design the interior with props as well. Then we needed to add value, colour and also textures to the vehicle. After a consultation with Mr. Kannan, something in me just clicked about perspectives and conceptual drawing. The 3 drawings below are drawn based on my previous concept from project 1.Comparing to my project 1 sketches, I can an insane improvement in my drawing. fig 1.1, Concept Rebuild 1 (12/12/2024) fig...

Instructions 2. Project 1 : Pre Production     Final Outcome 3. Reflection Lectures can be found here Instructions   Back to Top ↑ Project 1 : Pre Production In project 1, we need to create a suitable vehicle and props design for a world that we have created (such as from anatomy or character design), or we could have it as a separate world. Essentially we need to choose 1 type of vehicle minimum and slowly develop the vehicle till our final project. The main takeaway in project 1 is that we needed to show our ideation process. The journey to my chosen vehicle for project 2 was probably the most rough journey I had in while. First, I'll showcase and explain all of the scrapped sketches because if I was honest to myself, they were all terrible. However, it's a good way to...

Week 2 In this week's lecture, Mr.Kannan showed us things we needed to consider when planning for our vehicle as well as our exercise for the week. There was also a short demo on a toilet transformed into a vehicle which was really cool.       fig 1.1, Lecture & Demo (3/10/2024) Week 3 For this week, we were taught on values and lighting would work on objects. We were also told that if we struggled on sketching the vehicle, we should make a rough silhouette shape of the vehicle first and then only sketch over it. Lastly Mr.Kannan went over what sho...
